I’ve come up with what I think is one of the best travel hacks ever. I also own one of the 4Monster packable waist packs (see next item below). Here’s what I do when I’m on a trip in a new place: I put the packable backpack in the packable waist pack and wear the waist pack. Inside my waist pack, I also bring an assortment of everyday carry items. When I get somewhere and want to buy t-shirts or whatever, I pull out and unfold the packable back. Then I fold up the packable waist pack and put it in the backpack. I did this all over Australia during a recent trip, swapping back and forth, and it worked like a charm! Your hands are always free with this system!

Did I mess up? Did I put the same thing on the list twice? Nope! After purchasing and using the 24L packable backpack shown first (above) on this list, I went back and purchased a second one in a 16L size. I struggle to decide which one is the most handy, as both sizes are really useful. On a recent trip to Washington state, I took both this 16L, plus the 24L, plus the packable waist pack. I had all the bases covered for whatever came my way. And because these things pack so small, they took up virtually no room in my suitcase. Highly, highly recommended!

I don’t know exactly where to begin with this one. If you’re like me, you work hard to try to travel as light as possible. My bulky electric razor (the one I use at home on a daily basis) and its charger take up so much space. This thing, on the other hand, is so compact! I also really, really like that you can charge it using USB-C, and you probably already take a USB-C charger with you anyway. Easy, easy, easy. This thing is so much more compact and it does a pretty good job of getting you ready to get out there and find your adventure. It’s worth taking a look.

I’m a big believer in noise canceling headphones – especially on airplanes. These fit OVER (versus ON) your ear, so they’re comfortable, even on long flights. I mean, yeah, it’s fun listening to the guy behind you talk for two hours about his last hernia operaton and all, but hey, why not pass on that on your next trip?

UNIQUEBELLA Carry-on Garment/Suit Travel Bag with Shoe Pouch
(This one solved a big dilemma for me.)
Question: How do you get a suit, dress shirts, ties, and dress shoes to your daughter’s wedding that’s on the opposite side of the country? With this thing, of course. I was so skeptical about this item. I compared products for a long time before ever pulling the trigger on this particular one. But, I’ve gotta say, this bag was a fantastic choice for me. Worked great, fit within the airlines’ carry-on guidelines, and got my clothes there and back looking neat and tidy. That freed me up to spend all my time worrrying about my father-of-the-bride speech!
